RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES IN ALL STEM AND SOCIAL SCIENCE PROGRAMS

Queensborough is one of the few community colleges to have associate degree-level research programs.
As a student at QCC, you have the opportunity to connect in-class learning with real-world experience by participating in academic research within your area of study. Alongside our faculty, many QCC students present their research findings at national conferences and other events.

Are you considering starting your studies at QCC and then transferring to a 4-year institution to complete your Bachelor’s degree? If so, you’re in great company! Many of our international students choose to begin their academic journey at Queensborough to benefit from our affordable associate degree programs before seamlessly transferring to a 4-year college or university.

Queensborough provides guaranteed degree pathways through our 2 + 2 Programs with City University of New York (CUNY) 4-Year Colleges. These agreements make it easy to transition from your QCC associate degree to a Bachelor’s degree, with guaranteed admission to the following colleges and majors:

York College: Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Nursing

John Jay College: Computer Science & Security, Criminal Justice, Accounting for Forensic Science

Baruch College Business Administration: QCC offers a guaranteed admissions program with Baruch College’s Business Academy. Business administration students can qualify for guaranteed admissions to Baruch College’s Business Administration Program with the option of several majors.

English as a Second Language Program and Services

QCC offers an intensive, full-time English as a Second Language program called Port of Entry (POE). This unique and comprehensive language program is specifically designed to equip international students with the English skills, knowledge, and cultural experience needed to excel in higher education and professional careers in the United States.

For students who received conditional acceptance, completing the POE program grants a TOEFL/IELTS waiver, allowing them to seamlessly transition into the degree program of their choice. POE is your gateway to academic and career success!
