The 10th Annual Study New York International Student “Why I love studying in New York” Photo and Video Contest is now open for 2024/2025
Let’s highlight the wonderfully diverse and talented international students studying in New York and their contributions to campus life!
Who is Eligible?
Photos and videos may be submitted by any international student studying at a Study New York member school (find a list of Study New York members at www.studynewyork.us). Students must be currently enrolled in a Study New York member school in the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 semester.
Timing?
Photos must be taken between August 1, 2024 and March 1, 2025. Photos must be received by the contest close on March 1, 2025 (11:59 PM EST).
Photo Categories: (Don’t forget to give us a sentence describing your photo)
Shared Smiles, Shared Stories, New Friends in New York: photos that celebrate the new people you’ve met in New York (Description Required)
- Snap Chat, Instagram, Selfies with your Bestie! We are looking for photos of you and your friends you have made while studying in New York State.
- Photos taken in your favorite café on campus, celebrating a special event or just spending time with one other. Take that photo and submit it. Friends for life!
What I Love about Studying in New York: photos that celebrate what you love about the culture, environment, recreation, and nature of New York (Description Required)
- New York State is a celebration of culture and diversity, entertainment and study as well as embracing all four seasons. Share your favorite photo of what you “celebrate” about being in New York.
School Spirit! Photos that celebrate what you love about your school (Description Required)
- Go team! Pull out that school t-shirt and show pride in your school. Click a photo that reflects the ultimate in what it means to be a part of your school.
Video Category
- Share a day in the life or tell us why you love your school! Share your story about a day in your school life or what makes your university or college exceptional, from academic programs and faculty to campus culture, clubs, or the connections to the local community, by making a video of your day from 30 seconds to 2 minutes long. Submissions should be uploaded to YouTube with the link e-mailed to photos@studynewyork.us. The subject for your heading should follow this required format:
“Study New York_ First Name_Campus_Date”

Winners will be notified by email by March 20, 2025.
Prizes of $100 Amazon Gift Cards will be awarded to the winner in each category!

Take a picture or short video, choosing from 3 photo categories and 1 video category, and enter for a chance to win be one of the 4 winners of a $100 Amazon Gift Card and a chance to network with officials from NYC consulates and educators from around the state at our annual reception as we announce the winners! All photo submissions should be attached to the form below. All video submissions should be uploaded to YouTube. Please be sure that you include the link in the form below.
