Event Overview
The 2017 Annual Membership Meeting of Study New York was held through the courtesy of Fulton-Montgomery Community College, on 14 June. In addition to the presentation of the status of the organization, by Doug Langhans of SUNY-Cortland, two excellent presentations were offered.
The first was presented by Beverly Plowucha. Bev worked as a PDSO, and then went to SUNY Central, and has now become one of the most knowledgeable field representatives for SEVIS. Beverly presented an excellent review and update of current SEVIS thinking. Mike discussed many of the critical elements and considerations involved in developing an effective recruitment strategy to address the changing International Student environment.
