Event Overview
Study New York and U.S. Commercial Service hosted a delegation of education agents from Thailand June 3-5, 2015. The delegation was led by Ms. Thanyathorn Voravongsatit (Nan), Commercial Specialist, U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Embassy Bangkok, and organized by Joan Kanlian, Director of the Westchester Export Assistance Center. The group included 9 agents and the President of the Thai Educational Consultants Group, TIECA, http://www.tieca.com/.
Over 30 New York schools met with the agents at Upstate and Downstate fairs. Special thanks to our fair hosts at the College of Saint Rose and the College of New Rochelle, Fulton Montgomery Community College and Manhattanville College for hosting the delegation overnight and to the Culinary Institute and Manhattan College for hosting lunches for the delegation.
The 3 day visit to New York concluded a weeklong trip for the agents that included visits to schools in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts coordinated by the US Commercial Service, Study Maine, Study New Hampshire and Study Massachusetts.
