College Profile

At Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, we’re driven to discover everything that’s achievable through science. To turn curiosity into solutions. To advance the future of healthcare and medicine. We know this challenge is not for everyone. But that’s why it’s so important to us. Because ultimately, our work is for everyone. It’s for all of humanity.

We offer an array of undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs designed to help students succeed in pharmacy and other health related fields, including a direct-entry 0-6 Doctor of Pharmacy program, as well as joint programs in medicine, physician assistant studies, and accelerated 5-year bachelors and masters programs.

Our campus community centers on health science, which is why our students are so successful in their future careers as doctors, lab scientists, and public health analysts.

The ACPHS experience is one that combines quality academics, experiential learning, personalized attention, and a strong emphasis on service – all of which help our students grow personally and develop into talented and trusted professionals. Opportunities exist for students within each of our academic programs to work side-by-side with faculty on groundbreaking research in areas such as cancer, infectious disease, and obesity. These opportunities, along with access to resources such as the cutting edge Pharmaceutical Research Institute, are part of what distinguishes ACPHS from other colleges and universities.

The academic experience at the College is complemented by numerous community service initiatives, including student-led Community Health Days and Wellness Fairs. From undergraduate research opportunities to working in our student-operated pharmacies, students at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences work together to ultimately improve the lives of others.

According to the 2016 College Scorecard, ACPHS was ranked #3 in the nation for median salary of our alumni ($118,800). Graduates of the College are prepared for a range of careers such as: biochemist, clinical laboratory scientist, consumer safety officer, drug information specialist, environmental toxicologist, health policy analyst, hospital administrator, pharmacist, physician, physician assistant and research scientist. Graduates are also well positioned to continue their education in graduate or professional schools. An education from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is like no other.
